Bukittinggi is one city in the province of West Sumatra, Indonesia.The city was formerly called the Fort de Kock, and formerly hadalso dubbed the Parisj van Sumatra besides city of Medan. And the city of Bukittinggi was also the capital of Indonesia.
The city which is the hometown of one of the Bung Hattaproclaimed Indonesia, is a heritage town famous Clock Tower, alandmark in the heart of the height of the big clock shaped like BigBen, and became a symbol for the city which is also located on theedge of a valley the canyon was named Sianok.Selain Bukittinggicity is also famous as a tourist city that cool air, and siblings (sister city) in Seremban from Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia.

Clock Tower is the designation for a tower clock located in the heart of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra Province. Clock Tower is thename given to the Minangkabau society that clock tower building,because it has a clock tower was a "large sieve", or "at large".
Clock Tower was built in 1926 by architect Yazid Sutan Gigi Ameh. This clock was a gift from the Queen of the Netherlands to the Rook Maker, Controleur (City Secretary) Bukittinggi in theformer Dutch East Indies Government. Laying the first stone clockis done Rook Maker's first son who was then 6 years old.
4. Fort De Kock
Fort de Kock is the Dutch forts that stood during Padri War in 1825by Capt.. Bauer on the Mount Jirek and originally namedSterrenschans. Later, its name was changed to Fort de Kock,according to Hendrik Merkus de Kock, Dutch military figures.
Bukittinggi is located about 2 hours north-east by road from the international airport. The only way to get there is by car. But all the roads are good and smooth. As Bukittinggi is a tourist destination, try to avoid traveling on weekends as the traffic can be quite bad especially when climbing uphill.
